Whitsand Bay
Located in south east Cornwall, Whitsand Bay stretches from Rame Head in the East to Portwrinkle in the West, and the glorious beaches here are considered some of Cornwall’s hidden gems.
Characterised by sheer, high cliffs, dramatic scenery and long stretches of sandy beaches. The South West Coast Path runs the length of Whitsand Bay.
Steep paths and steps wind down the cliffside leading to the Whitsand Bay beaches which are rarely crowded. At low tide the long stretch of glistening sands provides great walking, and the stunning views along the beaches just take your breath away.
Rock pools are common along the beach and these provide an endless insight into fascinating marine life.

The Clifftop Cafe at Whitsand Bay is now under new ownership. We have visited this cafe regularly since moving to the area in April this year. We make a point of taking visitors there, usually after a walk along to Rame Head. Often we have a delicious full breakfast....
